Shattered monuments. Surging malice.
A colossal darkness towers at 91 cm.
Set in the vast realm of Middle-earth, the "The Lord of the Rings" film series tells the epic tale of the battle between light and darkness. From the very first film released in 2001 comes the "Cave Troll" in the "Premium Masterline" series.
On their journey to Mount Doom, the Fellowship is forced to pass through the perilous Mines of Moria. This thrilling scene’s fearsome servant of darkness has been captured in 1/6 scale. Its power-filled forward-leaning stance rises to an impressive 91 cm in height. Shattered stone monuments soar to either side, while the advancing Orcs enhance its commanding presence.
Its mindless, roaring expression is rendered down to the moist texture within its open mouth. The thick hide has been sculpted with sagging folds and cracks that reflect the balance of muscle and fat, finished with paintwork that conveys natural, lifelike variations. The weathered leather of its loincloth and the corroded metal of its massive downward-swinging hammer exude sheer weight and presence.
One Orc twists his face in hatred and raises his sword; another, clad in a shield, charges forward in heavy armor. The Orcs too have been captured in sculpture and paint at the moment of assault. Scattered rubble and bones at their feet conceal the white-bearded body clutching a massive tome. Those who know the long history of Middle-earth may find themselves recalling his tale of adventure.
Shaking the halls of Moria as it charges the Fellowship, the Cave Troll brings one of the series’ most iconic scenes back to life with powerful sculpture and paintwork.
