How to Train Your Dragon: Toothless Life Size Bust (Pre-Order)

Life Size Bust by ECC
$2,475.00

In How to Train Your Dragon, the story takes place in a mythical Viking world where a young Viking named Hiccup dreams of following his tribe’s tradition of becoming a dragon slayer.

After finally capturing his first dragon—the infamous and elusive Night Fury—and believing he has earned both his tribe’s acceptance and his father’s recognition, Hiccup discovers that he no longer has the desire to kill the creature. Instead, he forms an unlikely friendship with the dragon, later known as Toothless. Through this bond, Hiccup comes to realize that in order to protect Toothless, he must reveal the true nature of dragons to the Vikings.

The Night Fury is sleek, fast, and deadly. Once believed to be the unholy offspring of lightning and death itself, the Night Fury was considered by the Vikings to be the most elusive and dangerous dragon species in existence. Thought to be the last of its kind, it evades enemies by blending seamlessly into the night sky.

Determined to prove himself among the Viking greats—and to earn the respect of his father—Hiccup sets out to bring down the mysterious creature during a dragon attack. With remarkable precision, he succeeds in striking the beast, only to later discover the injured Night Fury trapped in the forest. In a subtle nod to Androcles and the Lion, Hiccup chooses compassion over violence and frees the wounded dragon. What follows is a story that transcends the traditional “boy and his pet” narrative and evolves into one of the most memorable friendships in animated film history.

To bring this extraordinary creature to life—capable of appearing both terrifying and playful within moments—the ECC development team dedicated special attention to recreating Toothless’s expressive face, from his eyes down to every individual scale. The sculpture was modeled by Mavis and hand-painted by Oskar Ankarudd.
