The Spinosaurus Prop Eye originates from Jurassic Park III, the 2001 science-fiction adventure film that serves as the sequel to The Lost World: Jurassic Park and the third installment in the Jurassic Park franchise.
It is the first film in the series in which the Tyrannosaurus rex does not take center stage as the dominant carnivorous dinosaur. Instead, that role is assumed by the formidable Spinosaurus.
The Spinosaurus prop eyes were originally created for the life-size animatronic Spinosaurus used in the film. The original eyes were designed and sculpted by legendary special effects artist Joey Orosco of Stan Winston Studio.
