From the fourth installment of the series released in 2015, "Jurassic World," the Mosasaurus returns to the Legacy Museum Collection.
Five years after the release of the statue that captured its iconic leap from the massive pool, it now resurfaces with an all-new underwater theme. The powerful tail rising above the water and the composed pursuit of its prey were conceived with reference to scenes and key visuals from the film. Designed at 1/15 scale, it embodies the image of an absolute apex predator.
Measuring nearly one meter in length, the piece is infused with meticulous sculpting and paintwork down to the finest details. The wide-open jaws reveal razor-sharp teeth and the lifelike texture of its membranes. The thick, rugged skin is rendered with a natural irregular pattern, while layers of bluish-gray tones recreate the shifting reflections of underwater light. The dynamic spray at the tail, crafted in clear parts with varying angles and hues, evokes the vast ocean beyond the base itself.
The specially designed base illustrates the ecosystem of the lagoon in striking detail: red and blue corals, schools of fish swimming alongside the predator, and a great white shark fleeing in desperation. The Jurassic World title logo on the front completes the display, drawing viewers into the film’s world.
