Marvel X-Men: Weapon X (Wolverine 50th Anniversary) (Pre-Order)
Who is Weapon X?
Weapon X was the codename of a secret government project aimed at inducing superpowers for military purposes. Inspired by the comic book storyline written and illustrated by Barry Windsor-Smith, the Weapon X series begins with Logan being captured and prepared for the process of bonding with the metal Adamantium. Along with his assistants, Dr. Cornelius and former NASA agent Carol Hines erase the memories from the mutant's mind and envelope his skeleton and claws with the fictional metal known as the hardest substance on Earth in the Marvel universe with the goal of using him as a savage, soulless killing machine. Other surgical alterations to perfect him include silicone sheaths around the claws and silicone bushings through which the claws emerge. Logan was constantly referred to not as a person, but as a subject, and his humanity was almost completely disregarded. He conflicted with his mental programming and, shortly after the implementation of Adamantium, his more animalistic side surfaced, causing Logan to break free and escape after killing all the security soldiers of the experiment. Other agents who were part of the Weapon X program and received implanted memories are the mutants Sabretooth, Maverick, Silver Fox, among others.
Exploring the Weapon X statue:
Suffering from a high dose of stress after having his body subjected to the injection of molten metal into his bones, the mutant called Logan, a former CIA member chosen thanks to his healing power that allowed him to survive the experiment, smashes, tears, and twists while stepping on equipment and devices used in his torturous transformation. Still filled with connectors attached to his body, stuck to his skin for the injection of the substance, as well as various other devices tied by wires and cables, the wild Logan with long hair and the unsheathed unbreakable claws newly covered by metal seeks vengeance against his tormentors and freedom from his captivity. Iron Studios present the statue "Weapon X (Wolverine 50th Anniversary) - Marvel Comics - Art Scale 1/10", portraying one of the most emblematic moments of the most beloved of the X-Men, featuring an extra interchangeable head allowing him to be displayed with or without the helmet used in his transformation!
